Raphanus sativus
55 days. John Flynn brought seed back from his wife's village in Mongolia. We have been growing and selecting this radish since 2016. Has a crisp dark outside and smooth white interior. Takes longer to develop than spring radishes and as it matures in the cool fall, tastes mildly spicy. Enjoy it fresh with a sprinkle of salt or grate onto salads. One of our favorites for a late-winter spicy curtido ferment.
