At over one million Scoville Heat Units, the Ghost Chili is one of the world's hottest peppers and should be treated with caution when handling the seeds and fruit. The use gloves is recommended. The pepper is said to be 400 times hotter than Tabasco Sauce, and easily three times hotter than a habanero. This is a slow growing plant that produces fruits at the end of the growing season.
